What is Armageddon?

Most often, the word "Armageddon" is used in the meaning of an incredible cataclysm that threatens to disrupt order or death. But in the Bible one can find different explanations of what Armageddon is. In the first version, Armageddon is the place where the battle will take place. Translated from the Hebrew, Arma-Meggido means “Mount Meggido”. In reality, such a mountain does not exist, but there is the city of Meggido, which for a long time was a “tasty morsel” for the rulers of the Eastern states. And here more than once bloody battles took place.

The second interpretation of the word “Armageddon” is the decisive battle between God and Satan. In this case, Armageddon is seen as the end of the sinful world and the beginning of a new life.
