What blood types are not compatible?
Every human body is unique and has its own personal characteristics. Similarly, human blood has different characteristics and, depending on them, is divided into groups. A blood group describes the characteristics of such elements as red blood cells. In humans, there are four blood groups, and there is another characteristic, which is called Rh factor. It can be positive and negative. Including it, human blood is divided into eight species. The article will consider which blood groups are incompatible.
The general concept of incompatibility of groups
For certain types of diseases, blood transfusions are necessary. And here, because of the different characteristics, the blood that is transfused may not be perceived by the body and cause harm. The universal blood group is O (І) blood (the first group) and is compatible with all blood groups. And the least compatible is the fourth blood group. But it is necessary to take into account the Rh factor. So, O (I) blood with a negative Rh factor has no incompatibility, and this group with positive Rh is also suitable for all groups, but only for those that have a positive Rh factor. The second blood group with negative rhesus is incompatible with the first and third blood groups, the second with positive rhesus is incompatible with almost everyone, with the exception of the second and fourth groups with positive rhesus. The third blood group with negative rhesus is incompatible only with the first and second groups, i.e. such blood can be transfused to people who have a third and fourth group. As for the third group with positive rhesus, it is compatible only with the third and fourth groups with positive rhesus. The fourth blood group can only be transfused to people who have the same group, and the fourth with positive Rh can only be transfused to people with identical Rh factor, i.e. with the fourth with negative rhesus, it is incompatible.
Pregnancy and incompatibility of blood groups
As for the concept of incompatibility of blood groups during pregnancy, this is a very rare phenomenon.More often there is a conflict due to the Rh factor. Incompatible in the case of pregnancy will be such blood groups: the first group (which has a negative Rh) and the second and third groups; the second group (also negative rhesus) and the third and fourth groups; the third group (negative rhesus) and the second and fourth groups. As for the fourth group, it is compatible with any.
There are cases when there is an incompatibility of spouses in the blood group. It is the same as incompatibility with blood transfusion. This can give complications during pregnancy. When this situation occurs, you need to undergo a special therapy.
